My Very First Post – #MyFirstPostRevisited

A tag started by a blogger/writer called Sarah Brentyn, asking us to revisit our first ever blog posts! ❤

I have been very nicely asked by my friend Carolina to visit my first ever post…and after 3 minutes of scrolling down the page…ta daaaa!

Here is my very first Blog Post:

——————————————————————-

THE JOURNEY HAS BEGUN!

Ok, I've created a few pages, rearranged a few things , and now getting used to WordPress and its particulars. The first four pages are up, The Journey, The Heart, The Beginning, The Reverse and these will be followed by The Fear, The Love, The Truth, The Dreaming and The Death (I hope to complete these over the next few weeks). And maybe more as I do this wander through life and the urge to 'live' and feel some of the most incredible things. I become more amazed as spirit shows me some of life's 'realities' under our day to day life that we all lead.

For many years it has been a slog, as it is for most all of us initially, but that is only to show us one side of the coin, a familiar track that has been taught to us by our parents, family and friends and of course, let us not forget the 'system' of schools, law and community. Now I'm not being derogatory by the previous statement as they are needed very much to assist in the creation of who we all are. A lesson in this very physical world showing us how to live and be a part of this world we live in.

It's when we reach those places in our life where we realise 'there has to be more', and then we start to look, to search, and try to understand just what it is we are missing. It can be frustrating just trying to come to terms, with what it is, that we seem to be trying to achieve. So the hunt begins. A clue here, a hint there, and sometimes we lock onto something that appears to be what we are after but it doesn't quite fill the void. So we keep looking. And looking.

And then one day after some serious searching throughout your life, you finally begin to realise that the most happiest times in your life have been when you have actually given to yourself. Released any expectations of yourself, and just been in the moment with something you have enjoyed doing. Whether it was an occasion with family or friends or something you enjoy doing for yourself. After doing this it leaves you with a smile, even if not so much an external one, but one that you feel within.

It is then that you begin to realise that the more you give to yourself, the more you give from that place. The more happier you are within, the more you radiate that out from where you are at. The important bit is to be that Truth, live that way on a day to day basis. If you do this with integrity, and not selfishly, everything begins to change. You begin to change, and all those negative things that you seem to attract to you before, change to a more positive and happier outcome.

Yes, life can still throw things in your direction but the more you follow this path the more you realise that ninety nine percent of the time we keep this 'what if' going in our heads and ninety nine percent of the time…none of it happens. And the reality is you always put your best foot forward anyway. Tell me when you've deliberately done something wrong? Made mistakes yes, sometimes some doozies (me too), but never deliberately. Learn, take in the wisdom that it taught you, and let it go. The lesson is for you, no one else, just you.

It takes time, but hey, you've got the rest of your life to do it. Don't make it a chore, just take one day at a time. Live now and let the world take care of itself. It will, and with that new attitude begin to love the most important person in that world. You are more important than you realise. You are starting a new you. You are beginning the realisation that you are a part of the most incredibly beautiful creation that ever existed, and ever will.

It all begins…with a smile…and another…and before long it just comes naturally!

Here we come to the rules:

Obvious rules:

No cheating. (It must be your first post. Not your second post, not one you love…first post only.)

Link back to the person who tagged you (thank them if you feel like it or, if not, curse them with a plague of ladybugs).

Other rules:

Cut and paste your old post into a new post or reblog your own bad self. (Either way is fine but NO editing.)

Put the hashtag #MyFirstPostRevisited in your title.

Tag…um…tentwotwelve five (5) other bloggers to take up this challenge.

Notify your tags in the comment section of their blog (don’t just hope they notice a pingback somewhere in their spam).

Feel free to cut and paste the badge to use in your post.

Include “the rules” in your post.

Completely silly rules that I’m making up as I type:

Transmute yourself from wherever you are to a nice tropical island for a two week stay at absolutely no cost,
and force yourself to enjoy it! 😀

Here there are my tag choices:

Amanda

Pam

Anne-Marie

You are by no mean obligated to participate but if you do would be a fun way to look at your Blog growth and transformation!

My thanks to Carolina at Yesterdayafter for including me in her Tag, and it was fun to look back to the beginning and see where my blog’s travel began!

Love and light to you all!

Mark

P.S. No, I normally do not do any awards or such, but for only the second time since I’ve been on WordPress, I have dared, simply as it was different and ‘touched’ what I needed to see! 😀

My thanks to the person who suggested that you revisit your beginning post and to you for deciding to reblog. This is a beautiful poem. Not just beautiful, marvelous. So glad you happened on my blog for a comment on another writer who also deals in beauty!

Thank you Marie. It was interesting to ‘look back’ and see where I had started. It gives an ability to realise just how far we have come in our hearts journey 😀
And I am grateful to find such an amazing world in this world of blogs, their many gifts are always a thing of great beauty…expressing themselves in so many ways…all expressed in words and images, with a love that knows no bounds. May this garden of flowers be always in bloom, regardless of the season. Thank you for sharing your place in it as well 😀 ❤

lol…now that is an admission 😀 Even when I had found me…the true me…I realised that until I truly loved myself, I could not give to another on that level. While I was ‘stressed, tired, or a thousand other things’, that is where I always gave from. I could heal the world, but first I had to heal me. And even when I found the thing that I loved to do, even then (in my excitement), I would still go ‘too far’ and begin to cross that nicely found balance.
May your balance have a doorbell, your pen a full stop, and in your heart, the discovery of that unconditional love within us all. Enjoy your breather ❤ 😀

Hiya, I find it hard enough to find you on Word Press due to the technology moving alone. I just cannot find my first post. I am sure if I did, I would cry. And to be honest with you, it would have been a Sai Baba post, not so popular on Word Press today, not like back when….. Anyway have fun. I am sure you all will. Eve xxxx

Sai Baba is in your heart Eve, that is all that matters. Your journey is the most important one, and those that are interested in him will be attracted accordingly. Your job is done in that respect, now focus on you 🙂
Thank you for your blessings kind lady, may your journey be also blessed in his memory 😀 ❤

Wonderful to see your very first Post Mark.. and finally I get around to you.. I so agree with you and especially what you said
“finally begin to realise that the most happiest times in your life have been when you have actually given to yourself. Released any expectations of yourself, and just been in the moment with something you have enjoyed doing.”

This is such good advice… and I have been doing Just that.. 🙂 xxx Wishing you a wonderful Week Mark, and thank you for all your visits my friend. 🙂 Oh and I like your new theme.. 🙂

Thank you kindly Sue, it was quite interesting to ‘go back’ and see where it all started. And it was good to see that I’m still in that space (thankfully), and the world hasn’t dragged me away 😀
A question if I may…the ‘new theme?’, I haven’t changed anything…though I might add that there has been an odd change of font to ‘only some’ of my old posts. It looks like more a hand writing font rather than the usual courier or ariel fonts. I thought it may have just been a change in an update of my browser (I’m using firefox), but if you can see that as well….it wasn’t me. Unless WordPress (there’s that name again, everyone seems to be having trouble with them these days 😀 ), is adjusting more stuff in the system. If its not the fonts, please tell me what is different so I can adjust if possible. And just write back using my contact page if that suits. Thank you muchly! 😀

Yes it was the comment back font that got me, that I knew was different Mark.. Which drew me to your back ground which seemed more blue, but then it could be the pc colouring of how it appeared.. 🙂
I still loved your first post and so glad you are still with WP despite all its gremlins recently 🙂 ❤

Thank you for your kind words Sue, and yes, the gremlins are having their fun with us 😀
I think it must be that the theme that I have been using has had its font changed and that the earlier posts have kept the earlier font but anything published now has the changed font. Because I am using the free version of Wordpess I do not have the option to change the font, but I may be able to get a plugin that will. Time will tell as I delve into the machinations of WordPress…or maybe it is telling me I need a change of themes 😀 ❤

Change is in the Air dear Mark, and yes they did something similar with my theme ages ago as mine is free too.. They altered the page headings which were once all neatly in the header now they reach down the page..
I can alter a little of my fonts now which I wasn’t able to do..
( If you click on My Sites top left of your header bar, and scroll down to themes and click onto customize.. Hopefully yours will have Fonts as well as header and background etc. Click onto Fonts and open up.. See what you have at your header and paragraph settings.. If you click the x at the side of the box it takes you back to Default, and mine at least now has an option of what fonts to use for the titles of the posts and what to use on the paragraphs within the post.. Hope this will help )
            🙂

Your an angel Sue. I’ve been looking everywhere for some hint of fonts, and of course, why wouldn’t it be in the themes 😀 My sites admin has been changed recently and that’s when the fun began. I can now change that first post and anything from ‘The Traveller’ down. But for some reason the 2nd post down and the next 6 posts are stuck in some font time warp. I can go into the edit and dance till I’m practicing to be a dervish, but they refuse to change. Maybe one day they’ll surprise me 😀
Thank you again Sue, it is very appreciated kind lady and helped me immensely…may your fonts be as beautiful as your paintings 😀 ❤

It’s very fun to see your first post, particularly since I think I began to follow you later in your blog. But, it’s still you–your voice, true to yourself. Love the steadiness of that . . .

Thank you kind lady. It was interesting to ‘see’ if I was a changed man…but thankfully I could still ‘feel’ I was coming from that truth within, I hadn’t been corrupted by the world with Mars Bar Ice Cream or wild party’s every night on the beach. Mind you, there is this thing called ‘balance’ so I sing and dance in the shower (and very quietly I might add), and eat raw food…er, I think that’s balance anyway 😀
And it does make me realise that regardless of the world, we can all find that place within, and be happy because of that 😀
Thank you for the blessings in your words Kristine, very appreciated, as is the place that ‘you’ give from, that place you have found within. Namaste ❤

It’s lovely to see where you started, Mark, and, as someone else has stated here, that you have remained true to your message. You’re a credit to the cause of loving enlightenment. I did a quick check back on mine – coming up on four years ago, good grief – and was writing about my then teenagers. Another set now. :/ I’ll not be able to take part, Mark, though it was, as always, lovely that you thought of me. I’m currently writing report cards – yet again – the long ones. Fifteen hundred words approx. times 25 kids. Not as challenging, numerically, as NanoWriMo, but definitely not as much fun as writing stories or poetry. Should be finished in two weeks. Need to be finished in two weeks! And I haven’t been all that well! Cough, cough! Can you write me a note?
    The grind!
Thank you again, Mark. May your words continue to flourish! 🙂

Thank you momus, even I was surprised at the consistency from way back then. But I have found that if I stand in my truth, it can only be that way…the way of the heart that we each will find in our journey 😀
And it is most certainly ok to not take part, especially with what you are having to go through at the moment, so do not feel anything but acceptance of who you are. I only sent it because of that option to not feel obligated, or else it just becomes a stumbling block, an expectation of yourself or others and it then loses its worth. Personally, it was just interesting to ‘go have a look’ after all this time (I think it has been 3 years…man that goes fast) 😀
And there is most certainly no expectation from this end or I wouldn’t have sent it…if something is not freely given, then where is my heart? ❤
And my heart goes out to you, those bits at the end of term of writing, checking, marking and a thousand other bits of paper seem to detract from the in class bits that you love, as you see the lights go on in each of your students…well, most anyway 😀
And a burst of energy from over here for your winter blues (colds and flu should be illegal, but apparently they build our system up….surely there is a garage somewhere that can do that? 😀 ), and I'll fire that note into your boss that it is imperative to send you to the Maldives for a fortnight to build your system up ready for the next term…I'm sure they will appreciate my concern 😀
And thank you for your blessing young lady, may your body heal, your mind flourish…and the Maldives be nice and sunny 😀

Ah, your words always fall like a blessing, Mark. Loads still ahead until Easter and then beyond, in the final term. At which point, I shall kick my shoes off and check out some sunny destinations! 🙂

Well, enjoy the good bits, and allow the testing bits to guide you…and the sunny bits something to look forward to. For the moment you will just have to put your feet up, drink wine and dream of which sunny bits to visit 😀

It was good to go back and ‘see’ where I started. And your posts have always been from the heart Amy, and taken that way. Keep creating away, I enjoy them all 😀 ❤

    Dear Mark,
I absolutely loved reading this. The part most striking to me? You have been living and breathing your mission in your posts and comments ever since.

Thank you Michelle, it was interesting to go back and ‘see’ where I started, and in turn, see if I have changed over that time frame of a few years, as I expected I would have. But surprisingly I am still ‘me’ 😀
Hopefully that means I am still standing in my truth, and coming from an awakened heart 😀
May your Monday, or any other day, hold you in the love of your hearts freedom my friend. Thank you for sharing 😀 ❤

Thank you Amanda, and it was a discovery to ‘see’ what went before. It is interesting as you read it, the feeling that come up from the memory of that time 😀
And as I said, there is no obligation to do so. I normally don’t do awards and such, but this one twigged me to at least have a look and ‘see’ 😀
Have a great weekend too, may it be full of nice memories, and at the least, a great back rub from one you love…it heals many things ❤
